About Me

As an African American woman, I'm passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices in children's literature and advocating for greater diversity and representation in storytelling. Through my work, I aim to provide young readers with windows into new worlds and mirrors that reflect their own experiences, fostering empathy, understanding, and a sense of inclusion.

My books are dedicated to Xavier,  my first grandchild. He has brought so much joy to my life. I look forward to watching him grow.
